Standard First Aid

Course length/duration: 16 hours/ 2 Days  – Day 1 is the booking day, Day 2 is the next Friday after.

Start time: 8 am Sharp.

Location: 11425 Alaska Rd, Fort St John or on remote site

Description: Comprehensive two-day course offering first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills for those who need training due to work requirements or who want more knowledge to respond to emergencies at home. Course meets legislation requirements for provincial/territorial worker safety and insurance boards and includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines.

Course Syllabus: Preparing to Respond, The EMS System, Check, Call, Care, Airway emergencies, Breathing and circulation emergencies, First Aid for respiratory and cardiac arrest, Wound Care, Head, Neck and Spine injuries, Bone, Muscle and Joint Injuries, Sudden Medical Emergencies, Environment Illness, Poison (Includes opioid poisoning).

Requirements/ Any pre requirements: Good physical health, ability to perform CPR for 2 minutes.

Cancelation policy: Students may formally withdraw from a class by contacting AAA Field Services Ltd 24 hours prior to the class start date and time by telephone or email. Students and companies are held responsible for courses in which they are registered until they formally withdraw from the course(s) within the refund deadline dates. Please note: Non-attendance does not constitute a formal withdrawal.
