Emergency First Aid

Course length/duration: 8 hours

Start time: 8 am Sharp.

Location: 11425 Alaska Rd, Fort St John or on remote site

Description: Basic one-day course offering lifesaving first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillator (AED) skills for the workplace or home, the course meets WorkSafeBC OFA 1 legislative requirements as well as CSA Standards for provincial/territorial worker safety as well as insurance boards. This course includes the latest first aid and CPR guidelines.

Course Syllabus: Responding to Emergencies, Check, Call, Care, Choking, Circulation Emergencies, CPR and AED, Breathing Emergencies, Wound Care, Head, Neck and Spinal Injuries, Bone, Muscles and Joint Injuries, WorkSafeBC legislation.

Requirements/ Any pre requirements: Good physical health, ability to perform CPR for 2 minutes.

Cancelation policy: Students may formally withdraw from a class by contacting AAA Field Services Ltd 24 hours prior to the class start date and time by telephone or email. Students and companies are held responsible for courses in which they are registered until they formally withdraw from the course(s) within the refund deadline dates. Please note: Non-attendance does not constitute a formal withdrawal.
